Farnogue Community Nursing Unit

Glenbeigh Construction assembled a pre-approved design team to develop this residential scheme. This development is comprised of a 50 Bed Farnogue Residential Health Care unit with en-suite facilities. The building was constructed using the traditional block work. The external rain-screen is a Beauclad and Petrarch cladding and was selected to complement the immediate environ and stimulate the client group sensitivities.

The internal design is visually stimulating while at the same time providing a safe and secure environment for the client group. The facilities provided include, physio and occupational therapy area, hair dressers room, assisted bathroom, prayer room, kitchen and dining rooms clinical treatment room, laundry and Linen rooms.
The administration of the facility is supported by nurse managers offices, nurse stations, interview rooms, male and female staff changing and shower areas, staff rest rooms, archive room, multi-purpose / MDT meeting rooms.
The external and plant-room areas include for central waste store and marshalling yard, external stores, plant room with biomass and oil fired forms of heating, deliveries area and car-parking.
The garden areas have been specifically designed to provide a contemplative and safe environment and to contribute to a feeling of well-being for the client group.
